With the holidays upon us, we will be heading to the grocery store a little more than usual. There is a way to keep your trip on the greener side.

Paper or plastic?? It's the question we're bound to get asked during our next trip to the grocery store.  Some shoppers are saying no to those options…and yes, to a greener alternative.

United Supermarkets offers seasonal canvas bags so you can express yourself in the aisles. They're a popular option.  Not every shopper is willing to change his or her ways, so grocery stores are also taking steps to make sure traditional paper and plastic don't end up in the dump.

United also has a spot were you can recycle plastic bags if you choose to not use a canvas bag. Ensuring your next grocery store stop fills your family up…not the trash pile. It's another way to go green across the Big Country.

You can find most canvas bags at the front of the grocery store for a very reasonable amount.
