Bigcountryhomepage.coms David Bacon had the chance to catch up with former AHS and University of Texas standout Ahmad Brooks following Saturday nights game in the Alamadone. Brooks served as a sideline reporter for Fox Sports Southwest.

"Watching these guys all year long and covering them, Ive been more impressed with their heart and their ability to come out and fight," said Brooks. "I know thats something that Coach Warren and the entire city of Abilene believes in."

Brooks says it wasnt an easy victory. He says Katy challenged the Eagles in the first half, but the Warbirds proved to fight harder than their opponents.

Brooks said the Eagles have been able to progress each year and this was the culmination of their rise to the top.
