Rainbow Trout Stocking

Throughout the winter months, Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock more
than 200,000 rainbow trout at 100 sites across the state.
The program hopes to hook new anglers into the sport by making fishing more accessible at urban lakes, state parks, and rivers.
At recent stockings at Canyon Dam near New Braunfels and Blue Hole Park in Georgetown, anglers got the chance to bring home up to five fish each.
Texas Parks and Wildlife has stocked the cold-water fish throughout the state for the past 30 years. The program is funded through the sale of Texas Freshwater Trout Stamps and donations.
