More Americans are beginning to embrace environmental responsibility.

Hardin Simmons University has created a committee of faculty, staff and students who are taking an approach to get everyone involved. From water-efficient toilets, to new energy efficient boilers, Hardin Simmons University has put over $4 million to make the campus more environmentally friendly.

A committee of faculty, staff and students is taking on the goal to get the entire campus involved. Recycling is something the entire student body can agree on. One major step the university has taken is using waste water to irrigate the athletic fields and campus grounds. Many other small steps are being taken as well.
