Although the NFC Pro Bowl squad definitely has a
Cowboys-feel to it, one
player not in attendance for the first practice is quarterback Tony
Romo.
Apparently, Romo’s flight
to the South Florida area was delayed Wednesday morning. Head coach Wade
Phillips said the flight was “circling” the area, and also included other NFC
players, such as Minnesota’s Jared Allen and Philadelphia’s Trent Cole.
Romo was a late-addition to the
NFC roster, replacing Minnesota’s Brett Favre. The teams will practice
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a short walk-thru on Saturday before
Sunday’s game.
When Romo arrives, he will be the eighth Cowboys player
expected to play, along with Miles Austin, DeMarcus Ware, Leonard Davis, Jason
Witten, Jay Ratliff, Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins. Center Andre Gurode was
voted in as a starter but is skipping the game because of a minor knee
surgery.
