Senate Race Gets Ugly

The latest poll shows TEA party favorite Ted Cruz with a slight edge over Lt. Governor David Dewhurst as they battle it out to make it onto the November ballot.
Officials with the Cruz campaign are crying foul today over a Super PAC ad supporting Dewhurst that essentially ties Cruz to the suicide of a teenager.
The ad produced by the pro Dewhurst "Texas Conservative Fund" features the mother of the young teen.
Cruz calls the ad misleading because he was representing a man in a civil suit not a criminal case. His client was being sued for breach of contract.
However, that same client did plead guilty to tax fraud.
Panhandle voters say negative ads, unfortunately, are a part of politics.
Through the first two days of early voting, 2,800 people have cast ballots in Potter and Randall counties.
That's about 16% of the total number of ballots cast in those counties during the primary.
