John Edward Everett

John was born in Hilton, Oklahoma the son of Jim Edward Everett and Vivian Pulis Everett. He grew up in Plains, Texas. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany working as an Army Paramedic. After his military service, he worked as a police officer in Hilton, Oklahoma, lived a short time in California and has been in Sweetwater for the past 20 years. When his health would allow, John was active with the Jaycees and the Rattlesnake Round-Up. He loved kids and had a good sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Adkins Everett of Sweetwater; two children, Sonja Jean Tiffen of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Janice Marie Everett of California; two step-children, Victoria Wells of Tye and Elizabeth Hannemen of Sweetwater; one brother, Tommy Everett of Seymour; two sisters, Doris Turner of Longview, and Janice Hembree of Seymour.
His parents and one sister, Rhonda Barnett preceded him in death.
