Big Country Spelling Bee

By: Michelle Ashworth
Updated: March 6, 2010
It was a day to "bee" focused. Students from all over town have been studying up on their vocabulary for the regional spelling bee. The winners from several Big County schools competed in the Meeks Childrens' Hospital Big Country Spelling Competition.

The event was hosted by Hardin-Simmons University, who also supplied the judges. Tonight's winning student will move onto the national spelling bee in Washington D.C. held in June.
