Mary Alice Steelman Tuttle

tuttle2007-10-02-1191365888.jpgMary Alice Steelman Tuttle, 77, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at her residence.  Mary was born April 13, 1930 in Doddridge, AR.  She married Cecil Tuttle on January 5, 1957; together they raised three children and a granddaughter.  She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene TX and a former member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ in Paris, TX where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Latch Key worker. 

Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.  Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the University Church of Christ Chapel, 733 EN 16th Street with Jack Hardcastle officiating.  There will be a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 in the Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, TX.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil D. Tuttle of Abilene; sister Opal Steelman Patterson of Dallas; three children, son, William Anderson and wife, Barbara of League City, TX, two daughters and sons in law,  Gladys and Dan Jacobs of Frankford, KY, and Barbara and Tony Jones of Shepherd, TX; three grandchildren, Sonia Suarez and husband, Orlando of New Jersey, Rena Seay of Abilene, and Cecil Anderson and wife, Lupe’ of League City, TX;  two great grandsons Austin and Zachary Suarez of New Jersey;  two great grand dogs, Nacey and Ronnie of Abilene, TX.  Mary Alice was proceeded in death by her parents R.L. (Cotton) and Mable Steelman, her brother Frankie Steelman, and a son Bobby Anderson.  

Pallbearers serving at the graveside service will be David Chapman, Paul Garret, Larry Hughs, John Gentry, James Paul Myers, Mark Welch, Randy Tuttle, and Eddie Tuttle; honorary pallbearers are Paul Bearer, Jim Newman, Archie Sparks, and Wayne Caviness.
