William Everett Hamilton

William Everett Hamilton was born on April 14, 1925 in Electra, Texas to parents, Frank Hamilton and Mattie Finch Hamilton.  As a young child Bill moved to Breckenridge with his family.  He served in the United States Army during WWII.  While in the Army, Bill was a buck sergeant and a section chief, serving in the European Theater. Bill married Emma Joyce Blue on October 26, 1946 in Eastland.  After 47 years of marriage, Emma preceded him in death on November 8, 1993.  He later married Marcy Wilson on August 25, 1994 in Breckenridge.  Bill retired after 47 years of operating his company, Bill Hamilton Oilfield Construction.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he attended the Roughneck Bible Class and participated in Triple LLL activities; and, he had been a past member of Shelton Avenue Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Bill was an avid golfer and a member of the Breckenridge Golf Club.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joyce, one brother, Frank Hamilton Jr.; three sisters, Carolyn Prentice, Fannie Andrews and Ester Montgomery.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marcy Hamilton of Breckenridge; one daughter, Linda & husband, Bob Sims of Breckenridge; one son, Buddy Hamilton & wife, Priscilia of Snyder; two step-daughters, Suzie & husband, Bob Womble of Morse and Nicki St. Clair of Euless; one brother, Charles Hamilton & wife, Betty of Watauga; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.  

Memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.  Condolences may be sent online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
