Senior Spotlight: Albany Band Honors Local Veterans in Washington DC

It was a trip many of the Albany high school band members never thought they would be able to take...one that honored a group of veterans from their community.

It was for more than the thrill of a plane ride or a spring break getaway, the Albany band went to Washington DC to honor those from their community who gave so much for their freedom. The group of students, along with several parents and faculty members, travelled to Washington DC to play at the WW2 memorial in honor of Shackelford County veterans

The band will repeat it's performance tomorrow morning at 8:30 at the Albany Bank Park.
