Bonnie Pauline McLeod

Bonnie Pauline Allard McLeod of Abilene, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2010.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 29, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Black officiating.

Bonnie was born in Bottineau, North Dakota to Leo Alcid Allard and Emma Mary Armstrong Allard, raised and love by step-father Ernest C. Koepp and her mother in California. She was a selfless, giving person who enjoyed friends and family, and a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved children.

Bonnie graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science. She worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Eastland and Abilene ISD's, and retired in 1999. Her schools included Lee Elementary, Alta Vista Elementary, Reagan Elementary and Cooper High School. Bonnie was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Texas and Abilene Retired Teachers Associations, and Abilene Woman's Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her brother Eugene Allard, step-father Ernest C. Koepp and mother Emma M. Koepp.

Bonnie is survived by daughters, Karen Adams and husband Charlie, Paula Moncada and husband Mike, and son Norman McLeod and wife Claudia; grandchildren Jason Lannom and wife Allyson, Jay Adams, Tim Lannom, Ashley Adams, Laura Lannom, Max and Eleanor McLeod; two great-grandchildren, Ryann Adams and Brooklyn Lannom; and many beloved extended family members.

Pallbearers will be her son, sons-in-law and grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Abilene Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Fund at (325) 698-1049.
