Homer Ray Riordan

Homer Riordan, 83, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at North's Funeral Home,
242 Orange Street. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday
at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Gary Lowe officiating under
the direction of North's Funeral Home.
Homer was born December 5, 1926 in Bangs, Texas to Jesse and R.B. Riordan. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He moved to Abilene after his discharge from the Navy. He retired from the Texas Highway Department. Homer was a jokester and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, two sisters, and one brother.
He is survived by a daughter, Ramona Butler; son, Dennis Riordan and wife Paulette; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
