Myrta Leaette Newman, 26, of Goldsboro, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Walker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born April 24, 1981, in Brownwood, the daughter of Opal Paulette Chitwood Newman and August E. Newman of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her father, August E. Newman of Goldsboro; grandmother, Opal Archer of Novice; two brothers, Sam Newman of Edgar Springs, Mo. and John Newman; aunt, Ozaine Coffman of Silver Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
