Heartbeat: Beef Causing Problems

The number one main course for Texans could be the reason why we face more heart problems than northern states.
Local cardiologists say beef, especially the amount of beef we eat in the south, could be the culprit.
Abilene is not the worst city in Texas dealing with these health
issues. The trend is usually seen in cities where cow raising is
prominent.
Doctor McClesky says too much beef leads to significant heart disease, including hardening of the arteries from excess plaque.
He also says to lower your chances of heart disease, change your diet.
He says make sure most of the things you eat come from the bottom of the food pyramid, instead of the top.
