A long and exciting week is now over, and delegates from all across Arkansas and Central Arkansas have been speaking about different issues on the economy, budget, jobs, welfare as well as issues that pertain to Arkansans, such as the hold up of the farm bill.
Arkansas Delegate Joyce Elliot insists that the government has a role to play in moving our country forward, creating jobs and providing for those who otherwise would not be able to do so.
"These are the things we need to remember about our country," Elliot says. "We are not rugged individualists to the point that we don't care about who lives next door or what happens to our neighbors in another state. We need to remember that in Arkansas because that's what we've always done."
Delegates at the convention seem to think they have the advantage over the Republicans simply because they got to go second in the two weeks of conventions.
