Mayor Norm Archibald is making his views clear on selling Abilene's waste water with Tenaska. The mayor joined KRBC First at Five for an interview Tuesday.

KRBC heard from city council members, as well as Tenaska, that they had no idea Mayor Archibald was going to make an announcement Tuesday. He explains if he should have made his views known at a meeting before Tuesday.

KRBC has also heard from people on BigCountryHomepage that the Tenaska deal could have had significant economic benefits for Abilene. He answers the question on if he thinks this will hurt the city in moving forward, given the current economic crunch.

Mayor Archibald is up for re-election in less than a year. He responds on the topic of if there any political benefits in making this announcement on Tuesday.
