You could say last season didn't go as planned for Clyde. Injuries ended any chance the Dogs had to compete for championship early. This year, the Bulldogs are healthy and ready to go.

One of the key players for the Bulldogs this season is a guy they call Double "L", Landon Lyles. Lyles broke his leg midway through the 2009 season. His injury hurt as bad as any injury, but he is back and anxious to lead the team.

2009 was also head coach David Ritchey's 1st leading Clyde. Ritchey says he is more comfortable with his team and the team is more comfortable with him.

Coach Ritchey says his team is working toward winning a district title. He added that it would be selling his team short if he didn't think they could win a championship.

Clyde opens the season on the road against the Eastland Mavericks.
