HASKELL - Just a season ago the Haskell Indians were one game away from playing for a state championship.

But due to graduation the Tribe has only a few starters returning for the 2010 season.

"It's a great for these younger guys." Said Indians head coach Kent Coley. "Those guys who were playing on Thursday night last year they're going to step up and play on Friday night."

Personnel aside the Indians also have to deal with a tough district that features three playoff teams from 2009.

"Pretty much every team in our district is tough, and we're just going to have to go to war with them every night and give it 110 percent and come out victorious." Exclaimed Haskell's three year starting quarterback Christian Meyers.

The Indians start the season next Friday against Archer City.
