Dublin resident Eugene Hampton may be retired but that doesn't mean he doesn't work fulltime.

Hampton spends his time turning come cans into model airplanes. Before retiring, Hampton made airplane landing gear for a living.

Hampton takes his work to about five craft shows each year. He admits it's a small business, but it keeps him busy.

His wife says she enjoys her husband's hobby. She says she's not sure what she'd do with him if he wasn't busy making airplanes.

Hampton joined the service after Pearl Harbor and models many of his craft projects after many planes he's actually flown.

At 88, Hampton says he plans to keep going until he can't go anymore.
