4,500 products are currently on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission list.

The list is long, but what's on this list could mean the difference beween life and death for your family.

50,000 Simmons drop-side cribs are being recalled. The sides can malfunction or detach, creating a space where a baby could become trapped.

Almost two million Maytag dishwashers sold between February 2006 and April 2010 are on the recall list. An electrical failure can cause a serious fire hazard.

The largest recall on the list involves 3.3 million roller, roman, and roll-up blinds sold at Ikea. They pose a strangulation risk to children.

To see if you have one of these products in your home, log on to cpsc.gov and check out all the details.

Logging onto the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website every month is a good habit to get into. It just takes a minute to scan the updated lists but it could be the key to keeping you and your family safe.
