Burglars Steal Bathtub and Stove From Home

"I saw an officer and I thought he was interested in the house, but I guess he was just checking it out to see what happened," Patty Aljava said.

Patty lives across the street from a house that was burglarized this past Saturday. She said she didn't see anything that seemed unusual. She said the home has been vacant for awhile and that the people that lived there had already moved out.

"My kids, they play outside and this is a very safe neighborhood. It has really made me wonder what's going to happen now, because we've never had anything like this," Aljava said.

The women who was selling the home happened to stop by as the burglars made off with a bathtub and a stove.

"It's a shock, because everyone in this neighborhood is really calm. There are a lot of elderly people that live in the area and it's usually really calm," Kenya Mavhera, who lives on South 35th said.

Patty and Kenya said they are going to look at people driving through the neighborhood differently from now on.
