HSU's "Christmas Carol" Includes Special Guest

By: Morgan Bond
Updated: November 16, 2010

Students from HSU will take the stage this Thursday to bring us a Christmas classic. This year, they'll be joined by a very special actor.

Dean Nolen joined the HSU staff this past semester as part of the Theater Department. He brings with him years of experience performing on TV and broadway. He has played roles on shows like Law and Order, and preformed in plays like Mamma Mia! Now, he is taking on the role of Scrooge in HSU's version of a Christmas Carol. Tuesday night was the first night of dress rehearsals for the play, giving the students time to work out the kinks.

Tickets to the musical are $7 for general admission. Seniors and military, as well as non-HSU students, $5. HSU students, faculty, and staff, $3.00. Performances begin at 7:00 p.m. in HSU’s Behrens Auditorium, November 18-20, and December 3-4. Tickets can be purchased at the box office in Van Ellis Theatre from 1-5 p.m.
