We all have different ideas of being in our prime but a group of senior citizens claim they are in the prime of their life, having the time of their life.

Bruce and Betty Morris have been married for 55 years and enjoy spending as much time together as possible.

It's something we can come to, enjoy and be together,” said Mrs. Morris.

She is talking about being a part of PrimeTimers at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.

We say they are in the prime of life having the time of life,” said organizer Jeff Reid.

He said the group gets together to have fun.

Traveling having fun. Two weeks ago 30 of us got back from New York City.”

More than just the fun, they get involved in the community.

We do a lot of community work primarily through Bonham Elementary but we get involved with other agencies too. We're just glad to be of assistance to anybody who needs it,” said Reid.

He said the best part of being a PrimeTimer is the relationships made. The Morris' agree with him.

It's just the place to be. Like our slogan says we are in the prime of our life and having the time of our life.

The prime timers meet the first Thursday of every month at pioneer drive baptist church.
