Friday Update:
According to Colorado City Police Chief John Bivins, an anonymous donor has donated $1,000 to be used as a reward for the safe return of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Colorado City Police Department by calling 325-728-5294.

Thursday Story:
Local and area law enforcement officers are actively pursing any leads in the disappearance of a Colorado City girl.

Thirteen-year-old Hailey Dunn was last seen at 1804 Chestnut in Colorado City at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 27.

Investigators had met with family, friends and neighbors, as well as following up leads from phone calls, according to Colorado City Interim Police Chief John Bivins.

“Anything that has turned up, we’re urgently following up on,” he said. “There’s a little girl missing and I want her home.”

A description and photo of the missing girl have been entered in the TCIC NCIC Region 5 broadcast system which covers surrounding counties. Also, the information has been put on the Copsync system providing anyone in the state with the Copsync system a picture and information on Dunn.

“There have been lots of posts on Facebook that have not been true,” Bivins said, including one report that the missing girl’s body had been found in Loraine. “If she is found, the media will be the first to put the information out. If people have questions, they are more than welcome to contact me at the police department.”

The missing girl is currently being treated as a runaway.

“That’s what the evidence shows at the time,” Bivins said.

Investigators from the District Attorney’s office, members of the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department and the CCPD were actively following leads until 3 a.m. Thursday, December 31.
