"We're still hoping to find Hailey alive somewhere," said Senior Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Sparky Dean.

That was the underlying message during a news conference Friday afternoon in Colorado City concerning the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

"We're looking at anybody, we're looking at everybody," said Dean. "We aren't focused on one person or one or two people. There's no smoking gun out there."

Dean urged for patience from the public as it concerns locating evidence or pinpointing suspects.

"Everything takes time," said Dean. "Not everyone is forthcoming with interviews and telling the truth. It doesn't mean they're guilty of something. They may just not be comfortable talking to a police officer."

City Manager Pete Kampfer noted all the grassroot activity and searching that was going on in-and-around Colorado City and Mitchell County Friday.

"We're staying with that from a positive perspective," added Kampfer.

Kampfer also talked about law enforcement going door-to-door throughout town in hopes of finding clues. Kampfer says authorities were looking for very focused information.

"They're asking very specific questions as they do searches, as they conduct their search," added Kampfer. "They have a very detailed script that has a focused questionnaire that may help us fill in any voids from the first search that we did."

Authorities added that they plan to release new developments and information daily in the morning and afternoon.
