Families and individuals from all walks of life joined hands for the 45 minute long vigil.
Each person had an opportunity to pray out loud or silently for the safe return of Hailey. Residents we spoke with said that although they don't know Hailey personally, her story still hits close to home.
"I have a two year old daughter and I couldn't imagine anything happening to her, and it breaks my heart to see such a young girl just up and disappear," said Layla Turney.
"Even though it's 30 miles away, this whole community, this whole area is very close," remarked Carrie Turney.
"We consider it all one big place, it effects us all."
At the end of the vigil "Hope Balloons" were passed out to all children in attendance, and they were released with a prayer in the hopes Hailey could see the amount of love for her in the community.
Residents said that Hailey's disappearance affects the entire community, and it's important to show support during this difficult time.
