A reliable source told Bigcountryhomepage.com that the family of Hailey Dunn is being investigated by Child Protective Services. CPS said it cannot confirm that information.
The missing girl's mother, Billie Dunn, said her 16-year-old son is currently staying with relatives in Snyder.
In many cases, CPS works with parents to find alternative housing while an investigation takes place, our source said.
Before Hailey disappeared on Dec. 27, she and her brother lived with their mom, Billie Dunn (pictured right), and her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. His father, Clint (pictured left), lives just across a field in Colorado City.
Adkins moved out of the Dunn home soon after investigators started putting more focus on him. Adkins has now been named a suspect in the disappearance.
