Report: Hailey Suspect May Now Be in Big Spring

By: Snyder Daily News and Bigcountryhomepage.com Staff Reports
Updated: January 22, 2011
A report in the Snyder Daily News suggests the only named suspect in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn is no longer holed up in a relative's home in Dunn.

The article from our news partner includes the line, "officials said he was recently staying with his grandmother in Dunn. However, officials feel he may be in Big Spring at his mother’s home."

Here's the article published in the paper's weekend edition:

While the search for Hailey Dunn continues, a prayer vigil was held Friday evening in Colorado City in which the teen’s parents were in attendance. Some 115 people attended the vigil at the First Baptist Church, including Clint Dunn and Billie Dunn.

Search groups are being organized by the Laura Recovery Center and KlaasKids and more than 30 people were out searching for the missing teen Friday.

Hailey Dunn was last seen on Dec. 27 and reported missing Dec. 28. The only named suspect in the case, Billie Dunn’s former boyfriend Shawn Adkins, remains under surveillance by law enforcement.

Officials said he was recently staying with his grandmother in Dunn. However, officials feel he may be in Big Spring at his mother’s home.

Bigcountryhomepage.com has not independently confirmed this report.
