Despite the circumstances, search crews aren't giving up hope and are coming up with new methods to look for the missing girl.
Volunteers scoured places Sunday they'd never thought about looking, thanks to the guidance of a fellow searcher in a helicopter.
"It's allowed us to see so much that we cannot see from the ground," said volunteer Heather Maddox.
Searcher Kyle Guthrie guided ground crews toward areas that caught his eye from the chopper.
"If we find anything, that's when our ground crews come in. You can guide them straight to the pinpoint location," he said.
Guthrie directed them to Farm to Market Road 1609 in Union, and later to Highway 350 in Ira.
"It's been so beneficial to us out here searching, and it's led us to some things that we hadn't seen," Maddox said.
Volunteers trekked through brush on Highway 350 from Ira all the way to Howard County, but found no trace of Hailey.
"Hopefully God will give us a sign, or she will give us a sign," said volunteer Vickie Martinez.
Searchers will be back combing through Scurry County on Monday.
