More than one hundred volunteers filled the Colorado City Civic Center signing up to be on a search team.
Coordinator Brad Dennis said the volunteers get a brief training then head out.
Klaas Kids pulled out all the stops on their second trip to Colorado City. They brought dogs, horses, ATVs and professional searchers. Brad Dennis said using animals is a big help. "They just cover so much more area than us on ground. A good k-9 unit can replace a grid unit because they cover so much more and faster," said Dennis.
Dennis said today's goal was to cover as much ground as possible and identify places Hailey is not. He said the outpouring from the community is overwhelming and he couldn't ask for more.
Dennis said today was a success and he hopes for an even better turn out tomorrow.
