Hailey's Mom: Child Porn Not Found in Home

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: March 6, 2011
While the focus in Colorado City and Mitchell County this past week may have been more on recovering from the wildfires that destroyed several homes, the search for missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn resumed Friday and Saturday.

Soldiers from Fort Hood joined the search teams that were trained by KlaasKids and Laura Recovery Center, two organizations formed by family members and friends of missing teenagers.

Billie Jean Dunn said Friday afternoon she remains thankful for the group’s continued search efforts.

“I’m on my way taking water to the groups right now,” she said from her cell phone.

Dunn said she was relieved to hear that the memory stick retrieved from her home did not contain any child pornography.

“One of the investigators told me that there was no child pornography on it. That made me feel a little bit better,” she added.

She did say that there was adult pornography on it.

“The only thing that came out of my house during the search was the memory stick. They (law enforcement officials) asked me whose it was and I told them I didn’t know. I didn’t recognize it,” said Dunn.

“They told me that it came out of Shawn’s dresser and I told them I guess it was his then.”

Shawn Adkins is the only named suspect in the case of the teenager last seen on Dec. 27 from her home in Colorado City.

Adkins told investigators early on in the investigation that he saw the teen walking to a friend’s house to spend the night.

However, Hailey Dunn never arrived and Billie Dunn reported her missing Dec. 28.

Adkins said on an Internet talk show Thursday night that he was surprised at the child pornography and bestiality found on a computer confiscated from his mother’s home in Big Spring, adding that several people had access to the computer.

Possession of child pornography could result in grand jury indictments and Adkins said he was aware of that possibility.

“There’s a possibility that I might be going to jail for something I never did,” he said on the radio show.

The cases would be prosecuted by Howard County District Attorney Hardy Wilkerson and 32nd District Attorney Ann Reed of Sweetwater.

Yes but why lie it would be much easier to tell the truth, if you are not guilty and why lie about Shawn being at her house, I don't think I have ever seen a case that there is so much lying going on , I suppose most people keep their mouths shut and these people would be better off to keep their mouth's shut, but they think they Got BY WITH IT

I think the [censored] found may be coincidental to this case, but one thing I am absolutely sure of is that Billie Dunn is not being truthful. I believe that she knows full well what happened to her daughter, and is using this to ride on the coattails of Hailey's publicity due to her disappearance. I am sure that the authorities feel the same way, but they are wisely keeping quiet about their speculations. This goes beyond a simple disappearance case - the fact is that the only people talking are the most likely suspects. Stop giving them publicity, and watch Hailey pop up.

They surely have checked around the storm cellar, I don't feel like there are any remains of Haley, and if there is they will be found but remember there was the two days before anyone knew Haley was missing so the body could have been taken several miles away in that length of time

Billie thinks by playing a victim that she will skate. Don't think the Grand Jury cares about her lies or Shawn's. They are playing with the big dogs now. They can try to confuse and talk in vague sentences all they want. Bubba & Bertha are waiting for them to check in. New best friends for both!

It's funny - Shawn never took Shawn's dresser with him, because likely there was only one dresser that they shared, and it's hers - in her house. Whether or not it was "hers" it was 'hers' in the law.

I don't understand but Billie Dunn lies about so much stuff and She had said earlier on that L E showed her some of the memory stick contents and of course IT IS SHAWN'S because it was in his dresser drawer TO HEAR BiLLIE tell it. She is the one that keeps saying Haley was seen by others that day Shawn saw her last Well it does not get Shawn off the hook because LE said it had not been confirmed So what if they saw her at noon, Shawn said he saw her at 3 or 315 on Dec27thSo he was the last person to say they saw Haley

Is Sheriff Toombs lying? Read the article.

"Both the computer and the memory stick contain images depicting bestiality and child [censored]", said Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs.

Spin it Billie.

First, Billie denies those images are hers and doesn't know where in the world they came from (regarding the stick found in HER bedroom dresser). If she had not looked at them, how does she know what they are and that they are not hers? Shawn has already said that he discussed the cp images with her previous to the release of this information. Then she says Shawn brought the stick into the home & it was in "Shawn's dresser". Here comes the bus, Shawn.

Possession of CP is ILLEGAL and possession is 9/10 of the law. The Grand Jury will make the decision when to have these two lunatics arrested and charged. Neither of them will fare well in prison, child perverts are not liked.

LE may have said that BD is not a POI in the dissapearance of her daughter, that is totally seperate from possession of child [censored].

Cisco S. March 6, 2011 at 11:12 pm

Seriously Cisco? I mean, if you're going to comment on the case at least do your homework and state the facts. Billy actually said the exact opposite of what you said. She said LE showed her a CP pic off of the computer but she personally didn't see any on the memory stick. She then went on to say that she didn't look at all of the pics on the memory stick though. You can find that info on the Bring Them Home on demand interview. To take it a step further, if you actually want to run your mouth on fact instead of rumors there is an article right here on this news site where LE cleared Billie Dunn in any involvement in Hailey's disappearance back on Jan 31st.

Put "Billy says" in one hand, and a feather in the other, and which holds more weight? Until the LE actually comes out and retracts their statements that criminal charges can be filed on the contents specifically of the stick, I'm going with the feather.

Nathalie N. March 6, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Another of BD's lies. She has already stated that LE showed her pics on the memory stick that had CP on them. Just a way to let awsome Shawn back into her home.
Investigators have already stated that CP was on both the computer and the memory stick. Nice try, Billie.

I SUSPECT SHAW HID THE REMAINS IN OR AROUND THE STORM SHELTER ON MY SPACE WHERE HE WAS SEEN SMOKING DOPE, AND WITH A BUTCHER KNIFE AND CHAINSAW
