Billie Dunn Says She Has Protective Order against Shawn Adkins

Updated: March 18, 2011
Billie Dunn, whose 13-year-old daughter has been missing since last December, says she has a protective order against Shawn Adkins, her former live-in boyfriend and the only named suspect in Hailey Dunn's disappearance.

Billie Dunn called KTAB reporter Priscilla Luong to inform her of the protective order, saying she had forgotten to mention it in the news conference she gave this afternoon.

Dunn was arrested Thursday night after police came to her house looking for Adkins, and she lied to investigators, telling them he wasn't inside.  She was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, false report to a police officer, and possession of dangerous drugs.  She was released Friday morning on $6,500 bond.

The protective order was filed as a direct result of what happened last night, Dunn told Luong.  The filing cannot be confirmed at this time because the courts are closed.

Dunn admitted to lying to police on Thursday night, but would not explain why.  She said Adkins was at her house because he wanted to talk to her about something, but she didn't specify what.

According to Dunn, Adkins cannot come near property for a year under the protective order.  She said she has no plans to see him again and will not rekindle a relationship with him in the future.

Billie Dunn is out for Billie Dunn. Period! This "protective order" is another ploy of this liar extraordinaire to try to stem the bad PR with her arrest. I feel sure the donations to her have dried up with her arrest. Leads one to wonder why she doesn't go back to work? Has she lost her job? Make no mistake Billie will throw anyone under the bus in order to save herself. What ever happened to Hailey falls squarely on Billie's shoulders. She was more absorbed in her addictions, Shawn being one of them, that to be able to protect her daughter. I have NO sympathy for her at all! As my mom used to say "She made her bed now she has to lie in it"!

the warrant was a search warrant for the body of Shawn not an arrest warrant. This is usually a warrant for DNA but could be a search for other things on the persons body as well..the protective order does not make any since. she didn't want a protective order until he wanted to talk... she didn't have any problem with him being there yesterday before all of this and now all of a sudden she needs protection. was there a threat made in a conversation yesterday? was this the reason he was at your house and what he wanted to "talk" about that is being withheld. as i recall you were asked what he wanted to talk about and you wouldn't say. so he comes to your house and wants to talk, the police show up and you lie about him being there, now you want a protective order. what do you need protection from??

yes wonder why the protective order??????////Billie acts like that Shawn hasn't been at her house before and he has been because he was seen there when Billie gave that interview and why would she lie for him if she had to get a protective order against Shawn???/ Don't add up a protective order mesans someone has been threatened some way so why try to protect him Wonder how long it will be before Shawn is arrested???? because I understood that that is why police came to her house because of a warrant for
Shawn why did they not serve the warrant?they found Shawn in the house DON"T ADD UP
