March Doesn't Have to Mean Madness for your Diet

By: Megan Dobbs
Updated: March 18, 2011
March is not only known for its madness, but it's also National Nutrition Month.

The American Heart Association wants to help jump-start your healthy eating plan. AHA reminds you to look for its heart-check mark on foods to easily spot heart-healthy products in the grocery store.  The heart-check mark on food packaging means the food has been certified to meet the American Heart Association's criteria for saturated fat and cholesterol for healthy people over age two.

You can find a guide to nutritious eating on the AHA website. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/GettingHealthy/NutritionCenter/Nutrition-
