Attorney for Billie Dunn Speaks for His Client

The mother of missing Hailey Dunn, 13, has hired a lawyer and is no longer speaking with media.
Billie Dunn has hired attorney John S. Young to represent her in her three misdemeanor charges: hindering and apprehension, possession of dangerous drugs and false report to a police officer.

Young says he isn't convinced a search warrant for Adkins body was issued last Thursday.
"(Police) didn't even have an arrest warrant for the boyfriend, it was a matter of wanting to talk to him," said Young.
Shawn Adkins is the only listed person of interest in Hailey's case. Seconds after leaving jail on Friday, Billie admitted to KTAB that she had lied to police.
That same day Billie filed a no-trespassing order against Adkins. However on Saturday law enforcement reported Adkins and Billie were seen together in Snyder.
Sheriff Patrick Toombs with the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office says investigators are now analyzing the items taken from the Adkins family home in Dunn last week.
"That search warrant is being analyzed now and being looked at and once we come up with what was on that stuff then there could be future search warrants or possible arrests made off that information," said Toombs.
The Mitchell County District Attorney's office and the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office say they served two search warrants last week, one for the Adkins family home in Dunn and one for Adkins.

Yes Linda you are probably right no one knew of the P but I just don't see how this much P would be without someone seeing something. and the area around there he knows well, I think he stayed with his GM most of time. I wonder if Billie will distance herself from Shawn since she has a lawyer? Maybe they all think it is better to keep their mouth's shut

esther...most killers won't take a chance and dispose of a body in a strange area because they're not sure if someone will come along and interrupt them.
Chances are...if Shawn did something with Hailey...she's somewhere he is familiar with.
The affidavit said that they could tell multiple devices had been connected to the computer. Maybe SA's family didn't see the images...because he stored them on his other drives...I would hate to think they knew!

I agree Linda, there are places out there that they need to search, I can't see how so much [censored] can go on the things Shawn has it on that someone in house didn't say something Maybe they were afraid to say anything Never know the night t of Dec 26th there may have been more making of [censored] and he may have thought about it and decided to get rid of Haley because she may have threatened to tell.

esther I just read the affidavit and I bet you are right...more warrants.
I looked the address up on google maps.
Wow.
They need to search that property for Hailey...and then talk to his friends and find out where Adkins hunts and hung out as a kid.
Looks like you could hide anything out there if you knew the right spot...and I bet he knows a lot of spots.

I read the affadavits of Shawn Akins warrants It is on KTXS and it is interesting Shawn was really into this censored stuff which I can't say on here More warrants I think will be going soon

Yes I agree we probably know what the arguement was about and I think we will see in a few days Yes Linda she is a conniver who probably has lots of practice The lawyer thinks he knows Billie but he will learn a lot brcause she wo'mt quit talking and he probably won't be her lawyer for very long

One more thing...esther...don't you think if we all sit down and think about it we can imagine what those 2 were probably "fighting" about?

Hi esther...Billie has spun herself quite a web hasn't she? Just IMO LE knows a lot more than they are saying and has given Billie evidence that Shawn isn't as loyal to her as she thinks.
"Conniver" is a perfect word for her and if she was a conniver after Hailey went missing...she was definitely a conniver before.
Not good for Hailey.
As bad as the facts are that we know about now...I have a feeling it's going to get worse.
I wonder what it is we don't know...and I wonder even more what her new attorney does not know.
Because if her lips are moving..she's lying.

The lawyer for Billie claims that the reason she got the charges was because they wanted Billie to distance herself from Akins and I don't see how that is apprehension unless they knew Akins was there They may have heard them arguing as in one interview Billie said Shawn cane over to talk to her but she wouldn't say what about and in one interview after that she said they were sitting there when police car drove up and she asked Shaw if he wanted to talk to them and he said NO They knew Shawn was there so looks like that would be apprehension

Here the lawyer of Billie Dunn is saying there was no search warrant for Shawn Akins body, but the sherriff says there was of course the lawyer believes what Billie Dunn tells him She is a conniver and her conniving I think is coming to an end How did Billie Dunn get a lawyer out of sweetwater Tx?I guess the gas money she burns going to meet Akins was given to Billie, I say let Billie pay her own bills as people can't help someone like Billie She is a druggie and drugs come first in a druggie's life She will get her bills paid soon
