4-Year-Old Scares Burglars from Abilene Home

Abilene police say a 4-year-old boy scared burglars out of his home in central Abilene this morning.
The child reported that he saw two men coming into his home in the 2400 block of Russell Street.
The suspects shattered a glass window at the back of the house at 9:15 and came in, leaving a trail of blood.
The boy's mother said he started shouting "Get out! Get out!" She was in a back room at the time, and said she wishes her son had run to her instead of chasing the burglars out the door.
Police say it seems the burglars thought no one was at home because there was no car in the driveway.
Police collected blood samples at the home for testing.
