A four year old little boy is to thank for keeping robbers out of his South Central Abilene home, he chased them right out the door.
Did you hear a noise? Did you protect the house and run them off? You did good, I'm proud of you!" said the child's grandfather.
You can tell just how proud this grandfather is of his four year old grandson.
That's because when two men broke a window to get into his home, he did something remarkable.
"I heard a glass break, so I got out of bed and got my robe. I heard the door slam open and I came out to see my four year old son running towards the back door yelling 'get out, get out'," the mother of the child explained.
The burglars ran off, but they left something behind, a trail of blood from an apparent injury they got from breaking out the window.
It happened when the four year old's mother was in another part of the house and he was near the kitchen when he encountered the two burglars.
There is something else police now have beside the blood to help catch the burglars, they have a description of both men provided to them by the four year old.
