Its not news that we're in one of the worst droughts ever in west Texas.  So, people all over the big country are looking for ways to conserve our precious resource: water. One Abilene business is helping to save water. Now you don't have to feel guilty about washing your car anymore.

"About 80 to 85 percent of all the water we use is recycled " Said Luke Kittley, manager of Xstream in Abilene.  They're doing their part to conserve water by using recycled water, but don't worry its still clean.

It's a three phase water recovery system and each phase its gets a little bit cleaner." Said Luke Kittley. "Its about a third of what you use if you washed your car in your driveway. "

But it doesn't stop there; Xstream took it a step further to save water.  Surrounding the car wash, the landscape may not look green but its green in a different way.

"We used xeriscaping its just less water to use and more to save." Said Kittley.

All this water conservation doesn't just mean a cheap water bill, its means a lot more in west Texas.

"Its kind of ironic in water rationing you can't water your grass but you can wash your car. We want to be as eco-friendly as we can especially in west Texas " Said Luke Kittley.

The Storm Prediction Center has The Big Country in an area with a risk for a "non-severe" thunderstorms tonight. As far as numbers go, I'm going with a 30% chance across the area for showers/t'storms. Remember, some of these could pulse up and reach severe levels, with the greatest concerns being large hail and damaging winds. Tomorrow, we'll have a 20% chance for showers/t'storms, once again.

It'll be breezy and sunny tomorrow, but we'll have some isolated showers and thunderstorms developing late tomorrow afternoon and overnight into Wednesday.  I'm forecasting a 30% chance for precipitation, but not expecting a widespread soaking rain event (unfortunately).  Highs tomorrow will be around 85, with southerly winds 10-15mph, gusting to 25mph at times.  We'll hold on to a 30% chance for precipitation on Wednesday and 20% for Thursday night. Temperatures will begin to climb, and we'll hit the 90-degree mark by Thursday or Friday.
