Search for Hailey Dunn Heads to Capital City

The search for a missing 13-year-old girl from Colorado City in West Texas has reached the streets of Austin.

Posters with a description of Hailey Dunn have been placed in areas of North Austin.

Dunn has been missing since December 27 from Colorado City about 250 miles Northwest from Austin.

It's unknown who placed the posters in the area, but police in Colorado City told KEYE TV that Dunn's mother, Billie, has moved to Austin.

She moved after she pled no contest on a charge of making a false report to police regarding the whereabouts of her then live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.

She is now serving out her probation in Austin.

Adkins remains a person on interest in the case.

KEYE TV spoke to a local social worker who was looking at the signs and they said the important thing is to keep the child's picture in the media.

"To keep the posters, to keep it on the news, to maybe send text messages to put it on the interstate banners, I think any of that will help find the child,"

There is a $15,000 reward for any information of Hailey Dunn's whereabouts.

There is a vigil planned this Saturday in Colorado City to mark the six months since Hailey's disappearance.
