Marlisa was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Upon completing high school she packed up her bags and moved to the Lonestar state for college.
She attened St. Edward's University in Austin where she attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication.
While in college, Marlisa studied abroad in France where she was able to produce and co-anchor her own news program. Throughout her college tenure she interned with WPGC 95.5 in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as KEYE-TV in Austin, Texas.
From a young age Marlisa always knew she was called to help people in some way. After discovering she could help people through her love for reporting, she was more than thrilled.
Following graduation she enjoyed a month of relaxation before starting her reporting career at KRBC. Although this is a change of pace for her she is excited to call the Big Country her new home.
In her spare time she loves attending church, reading, and taking random trips with family and friends.
