Erectile Dysfunction: A Sign of Heart Disease?

By: NBC, Megan Dobbs
Updated: August 18, 2011

Erectile Dysfunction can be an early indicator that the vessels are getting clogged.  Experts say that you need to see your heart doctor before the problem becomes more serious.  Taking drugs for E.D. may solve the initial problem, but doctors say it won't protect you against heart disease.

It's important to consider a lifestyle change: things like eating better, watching your cholesterol, stopping smoking and exercising can be beneficial.
