Updated: August 26, 2011
Police have issued an arrest warrant for an Abilene woman accused of embezzling over $500,000 from Spine Abilene.

Police have been investigating this case since February, and now the identity of the woman has been made public. Former office manager of Spine Abilene Heather Ann Smith is expected to turn herself in.

Detective John Clark with the fraud division of the Abilene Police Department has been combing over thousands of pages of documents since February to get to this point.

Clark says smith is accused of taking the money over a five year period.
