Make-up professionals with Glow flew in from North Carolina to help prepare the models for their catwalk debut. The KTAB 4u team was able to steal their attention, long enough to find out the latest fall trends from the make-up world.
According to Stephanie Mason, "structured cheeks" are in this year along with the classic smokey eye and red lip. Stephanie says the look is simple enough for any one to pull off, and works with every type of face structure.
"Not every feels comfortable with the strong lip, not everyone feels comfortable with the smokey eye, but everyone looks better with a little blush." Says Mason.
"You immediately look awake, you look refreshed," she explains, "you look finished. It's the easiest thing in the world."
A local hairstylist was also on hand to help prep models for the show. Neal Parker, owner of Neal Parker Salon's taught us how to pull off a high bun in just a few quick and easy steps.
Parker says, "the theme of it is an effortless, take ten minutes, be a little feminine and a look chic," Parker says.
He claims this style works on every type of hair, straight or curly, and can be worn for almost every occasion. To dress up the look, Parker recommends making it more sleek and adding a little bling.
Saturday's trend show was a first for the local boutique since Betty and June opened it's doors in April of this year. The event benefited Young Life Abilene.
