Born and raised in Kennebunk, Maine, Katie is a small-town girl with a big curiosity for people and the world, which fueled her passion for journalism at a young age.
She studied broadcast journalism at Hofstra University in New York, where she had the privilege of working as a media assistant for the third and final 2008 Presidential Debate, as well as interning in Manhattan for WABC-TV. Katie also anchored, reported and produced for Hofstra's TV station.
Katie comes to Texas from Boston, after spending a year working behind the scenes in production and writing.
After learning as much as she could in a year, it was time to pack her things and begin her journey into the reporting world.
After driving two-thousand miles straight into Abilene, Katie is thrilled to call herself a member of the KRBC News Team. She is looking forward to becoming a part of the community and meeting new and interesting people every day.
