Spiders, scorpions, and snakes oh my!
When it comes to animals, most of us can handle the warm fuzzy kind. It's when we talk reptiles that our hearts start racing.
The Abilene Zoo came to our studios to show off one of their Grey Banded King Snakes and talk about his habitat. When it comes to their diet The Zoo curator, Joy Harsh, says, "...lizards and small mammals but they also eat snakes. King snakes are one of the snakes that will eat other snakes."
To sneak a peek at all the animals featured at the Abilene Zoo you can head over to Zoo Lane any day of the week between 9a-5p. Tickets are $5 for Adults, $4 for Seniors, and $2.50 for children between the aged of 3-12. All children under 3 get in free!
