According to Early City Manager Ken Thomas, sales tax is up nearly 15 percent this month from last month. He says that's a $10,000 increase to $76,000.
The mom and pop businesses and continuous new construction help make up over a million dollars in revenue for the city every year.
Sales tax revenue has been down over the last five months, and there was a 2 percent drop in September compared to September of last year.
