The winds in Roscoe are picking up this weekend, just in time for the
annual wind festival! Between the arts, food vendors, fireworks, cook-offs and of course live music this event is shaping up to be one you
wont want to miss!
"This will be the 5th annual West Texas Wind Festival," says Ken Brawley, "The wind's always blowing in West Texas, especially in Roscoe. When I was growing up we always cussed the wind, but somebody thought it might be a good thing to make something of it. We've become the wind capital of the world and we're real proud of that."
The event takes place Saturday, October 15th in Roscoe, staring as early as 10am. Live music with Lawless Flatz and the Bellamy Brothers gets started around 7:15pm. The event is FREE to attend and will have a fireworks show when the sun goes down.
