Proposition 3 is looking for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to issue obligation bonds in order to fund student loans.
If the proposition is approved, the College Access Loan program will expand, allowing students to receive more loans.
Financial Services at ACU says that they are in support of the proposition because many students depend on loans to finance their way through college.
Just this year there have been 370 students who have received a College Access Loan, and it's believed this proposition will boost that number even more, if passed.
