In today's Halloween for you segment, we put the Tye Haunted Hangar to the test to see just how frightening it really is.

According to Tye Fire Fighter Chris Friedle, the hanger takes nearly 3 months to prepare for Halloween.

"We have to build frames, we have to hang tarps, we have to do all the painting and get the equipment set up," says Chris, "it probably takes a good 100 to 200 man-hours to get done."

When it comes to actually scaring people, Chris says the entire Fire Department jumps on board.

"Pretty much everyone in there is a member of the Fire Department or one of the family members," Chris explains.

Chris also says, the Fire Department isn't joking around.  They've scared people so much, they've actually had visitors jump through walls to reach the exit.

"The walls are made of plastic and wood," Chris says, "and we actually have people that go right through the walls."

As if that wasn't enough, the Haunted Hanger is located right behind a cemetery.  But despite the additional creepiness factor, Chris says no one has reported seeing a real ghost around the Hanger.

To get the full effect you have to actually visit the Tye Haunted Hanger yourself.  It's sponsored by the Tye fire department. There are still 3 days left to go, including this Friday, Saturday, and course Halloween night.  Admission is $5 per person.
