Bully Prevention Program to be Presented to Students

Bully prevention programs will be presented to both Snyder Junior High School and Snyder High School students and staff Wednesday.

Rod Pruitt, the bully prevention state initiative consultant with the Region 14 Education Service Center in Abilene, will present the information.

His program will include:

What is the legal definition of bullying according to Texas House Bill 1942, which requires schools to address bully prevention.

Traits of bullies, targets and bystanders.

Reactions and behaviors that don't work with bullies.

How to report a bully incident to school staff.

How bystanders can help stop bullying without becoming a target.

Internet safety and preventative steps to reduce cyber bullying.
